LPC POST Code card
A valuable tool for bringing-up new hardware design and debugging the firmware of a x86 design.
LPC Post Code Card
LPC POST Code Card is a tool which monitors the LPC bus and performs the functions:
- Display port 80h values. (P.O.S.T codes)
- Output port 80h values to serial port.
- Serial port to support debugging.
A valuable tool for bringing-up new hardware design and debugging the firmware of a x86 design.
Debug adapter for firmware development
The firmware includes reporting P.O.S.T. (Power On Self Test) codes on the LPC interface.
The LPC post board can be connected to the system using the standard LPC/TPM header. Support for additional LPC header versions has been added. For example for the OpenCompute version.
Functions
The card includes the following functions:
- USB to serial converter so no serial port is required on the host system.
Applications
The board can be used for the following applications:
- Port 80h code display
- Output of firmware logging
- Kernel debugging for any operating system
- PC computer repair tool
- Functional test tool
Custom versions can be created to suit the your needs.
