The LPC post board is a tool is connected to the LPC bus and can perform 2 functions: display port 80 post codes and it can contain a socketed FWH device containing a BIOS. The device can be used for debugging and repair.

The adapter can be connected to the system using the standard TPM header, alternatively it plugs into a PLCC FWH socket.

The board can be used for the following applications:

• Port 80 code display
• Debugging x86 PC computer board
• PC computer repair tool
• In system BIOS programming
• Functional test tool

When the proper support on the motherboard the system can boot from the device contained in the LPC POST board without the need to remove the onboard flash. This can be very convenient in test and repair environments.

When required custom versions can be created to suit the needs of the customer.
