MILPITAS, Calif. – February 23, 2012 – Phoenix Technologies Ltd., the global leader in UEFI firmware technologies and products, today announced support for intelligent system firmware development for embedded applications with the launch of its flagship product, Phoenix SecureCore Technology™ (SCT) 2.2, at Embedded World 2012.  The second generation of Phoenix’s UEFI firmware offers over sixty new features that significantly improve system security, reliability and connectivity required by embedded developers.  Live demonstrations of Phoenix SCT 2.2 will be on display at the Eltan  booth at Embedded World 2012, February 28 - March 1, 2012.

Today Eltan announces support for AMD and Eltan combined customers in the EMEA region. First customer products are expected to show at embedded world trade show 2011 in Nuremberg.

March 12, 2009. Den Dungen, The Netherlands. Eltan B.V., a European independent engineering company specialised in PC and Communication Technology today announced availability of BOOT from SD Card for x86 based systems.

Eltan created the BIOS support to add SD Card, MMC cards and e-MMC devices as boot device. Modules are available for integration into the Phoenix Technologies and Award BIOS Code bases. The support is also available as a standard Option ROM.
